The Dell PowerEdge R740xd2 is a 2U rack server designed for storage-dense environments. Supporting up to two Intel Xeon Scalable processors (1st or 2nd Gen) and 1TB of DDR4 ECC memory across 16 DIMM slots, it delivers reliable performance for large datasets, content repositories, and data-heavy applications.
With capacity for up to 26 3.5" (LFF) drives (24 front + 2 rear), the R740xd2 is ideal for SDS, video archives, backup targets and more. PCIe Gen3 slots support expansion for high-speed networking, GPUs or additional RAID functionality, while integrated iDRAC9 management ensures remote control and monitoring.
